Fellowship Program
Apply to be a part of the IntegrateAI Fellows Program
We invite teachers to partner with us in the IntegrateAI project. IntegrateAI is designed to flexibly integrate AI learning through NLP into middle school science through participatory co-design with middle school teachers. The integrated curriculum draws on the NGSS three-dimensional learning framework and is aligned with Florida, Indiana, North Carolina and middle school science. A key element of the curriculum is to leverage problem-based learning to integrate NLP in science classrooms.
Selected Fellows Will Receive
$1500 compensation: 500 for PD + $1,000 for implementation
Documentation for Professional Growth Points and Continuing Education Units
Access to NLP4Science, a digital NLP platform.
Robust professional development opportunities around collaborative problem-based learning, including a 2 day-long in person session (cost of substitute teachers will be covered)
Dedicated technical support, instructional coaching, and a professional learning community that includes our team of expert consultants and other IntegrateAI Fellows
Teacher Eligibility
Any teacher is eligible to become a IntegrateAIFellow if they:
Teach in Florida, Indiana or North Carolina
Will teach a middle school science, STEM elective, or computer science course
That covers environment conservation/ecosystems topics
During the 2024-2025 academic year
Although prior experience with Problem-based Learning in ecosystems education is not necessary, interest in learning more is desired
What Participation Entails
Teaching the IntegrateAI Curriculum (7-8 class periods) including the NLP4Science platform during the 2024-2025 academic year
Engage with the curriculum
Bring your own professional expertise to the table to provide the team with feedback that will guide the development of NLP digital platform: NLP4Science and the IntegrateAI curriculum.
Meet other IntegrateAI Fellows to form a professional learning community around NLP teaching and scientific problem-based learning pedagogy
Facilitating classroom research activity during the unit (e.g., participating in observations, interviews, assessments, and classroom video recording)
